Cloudy Wednesday

All my babies have the flu and have been sick for about a week. Everyone is in bed most of the day, do between being a nurse and cook I've been doing a lot of reading. I finished Anne of Avonlea and read All I Want for Christmas by Amy Silver.

Leftover day

Just enjoyed some Thanksgiving leftovers with my youngest two. We are relaxing all weekend and I'm reading Anne of Avonlea. I finished Anna Karenina and The Know-it-All last week.

National Book Lovers Day

Today is National Book Lovers Day so I shall spend my day reading. Anna Karenina and The Know-it-All need to be finished.

A Year of Reading

I'm actually running (barely) 2 blogs about reading/books.  I decided to take a year off of regular homeschooling with my 12 and 13 year olds to do a Year of Reading with them.  We are very much enjoying it.  Probably me most of all.

I'm debating on just using this blog, I find Blogger much more user friendly than Wordpress.  Just off to see if I can import my posts from my other blog and that will probably help decide for me.

48 Hour Reading Challenge Summary

I read one more hour and finished True Spirit.  Unfortunately I didn't meet my goal.  I started watching a movie with my daughter and then had to run to Target and the day got away from me.

Total hours read:  13

I had a blast with this challenge though and finished up 3 books, so it was a success for me!

I've read another 3.5 hours and taken .5 hours to read through some book blogs.  I'm almost done with True Spirit, thank goodness.  Going to bed and will start reading again in the morning.

48 Hour Book Challenge Update #3

I've logged in another 3 hours to bring my total up to 8 so far. 
I finished Radical Unschooling by Dayna Martin and am working on True Spirit by Jessica Watson.  It's a boring book for me, about a 16 year old Australian girl who sailed around the word.  Sounds exciting but all the sailing talk has me bored and anxious to just get the book over with.

In between I read a little of The Shell Seekers by Roseamunde Pilcher

I read for a total of 4 hours last night.  This morning I have read for 1 hour, so 5 hours total.
I just finished up Radical Unschooling, A Revolution Has Begun by Dayna Martin

7th Annual 48 Hour Book Challenge

So glad I found this right when I had a weekend to devote to reading.  The challenge is here I plan on starting at 5PM. 
First up is to finish One Day by David Nicholls.
